Here an IMPORTANT question & maybe a helpful comment, which might make a big difference for & in your research:
In your query in "ancestry.com.au" posted Feb/13 the name is spelt "KLIEMANN", while here in "cuestrin.de it is spelt "KlieNman" (with an "n").
I assume "Kliemann" is your "original spelling"?
There is an entry in cuestrin.de Familyname-Database/ Source: Einwohnerbuch 1939/40:
KLEEMANN, Karl - Rosendamm 16 Küstrin-Kietz. Could this person be a relative? For the following reason:
In English "Kleemann" is pronounced like "Kliemann" & very often, over a period of time the name is also WRITTEN the way it is pronounced. In this case the name easily could have changed from "Kleemann" to "Kliemann", considering it is now close to 70yrs ago when your family had to flee from Küstrin in 1945 (which also has happened to myself & my parents).
The same has occurred also to other names eg "Kleinmann" can become "Klienmann" etc.

May I ask a personal question: Do you live in Australia?
